| The Empire |
| Urû'baen
Urû'baen is the Capital of Alagaësia. It is a large city located near the Hadarac Desert and the eastern edge of the Ramr River. The city and palace are always heavily protected. The eggs of Galbatorix are found here, though are heavily protected by the King's magic, to help prevent anyone from stealing them, or entering without permission. It is also where the Dragon Riders will train under Galbatorix.

| Teirm
Teirm is a large trading city by the sea. The city is built well planned out in case of an attack. There is a large wall around it, at least a hundred feet tall and thirty feet wide. The houses have flat roofs, and are smaller houses at the edge of the city, getting bigger as you get farther in.

Dras-Leona is a large city located near Leona Lake. Many of the people here believe in a religion involving Helgrind and the sacrifice of body parts. It is rather messily built. The streets are crooked and narrow, the houses tall and thin.

Gil'ead is a heavily fortified city and is a base for Galbatorix's Soldiers. There is a large stone fortress in the center, and it is on the banks of the Isenstar Lake.

The Ramr River is a large, strong river. The current is very strong, and cannot be crossed by swimming or by horseback. It can change to be very wide at some places, and others not so much.

| Melian
Melian was a town located in the Southern Empire close to the Jiet River. This town had previously been a popular stop for traders or travelers passing through, with many farms surrounding the area. After the Battle of Melian, hardly anything remains of this town except some buildings that survived the battle and the few villagers trying to rebuild the town.

| Vroengard
Vroengard is an island off the Northern coast of Alagaësia. The old city Doru Araeba is located on the Eastern side, which used to be the base for the Dragon Riders before the Fall. It is now an old, abandone island with nothing but rumors of mysterious beasts that may remain. Far off coast, it is mainly only accessible by dragon, though if you're lucky your ship may make it here.

Ellesméra is a large capital for the elves. The elves built their city into the forest by singing to the trees and shaping them into buildings. It is where the Queen, Islanzadí lives.

| Hadarac Desert
The Hadarac Desert isn't actually in the Beor Mountains. It is many miles wide, and has little to no food or water until you cross it. The Empire does not have control over the Desert or the other side of it as it is too big. It covers a large area of Alagaesia and is a hot and dry place.

| Farthen Dûr
Farthen Dûr is a large hollowed out mountain owned by the dwarves, which also is where the Varden were. In the center of Farthen Dûr is where the city Tronjheim was built. Tronjheim is over a mile high and is carved out of white marble.

Aberon is the capital of Surda. It is where King Orrin rules from. Borromeo Castle is protected by three layers of walls and many towers. It is where the Dragon Eggs of the Varden are currently kept, very heavily guarded by magic users.

Lithgow is a large city in Surda, known for it's training grounds for soldiers. Located on the flat plains, it is surrounded by a large wall and many large towers. Along with trading and it's market, Lithgow is now mainly used as an army base for training King Orrin's soldiers.
